‎Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 Group Stage opponents Tunisia delivered another strong performance on Tuesday, holding global football powerhouse Brazil to an impressive 1–1 draw in an international friendly.

‎The result extends Tunisia’s unbeaten streak to six matches, comprising four wins and two draws, a form that will surely catch the attention of the Super Eagles as both nations prepare to meet in the AFCON group stage.

‎The Carthage Eagles opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a well-worked team move that stunned the Brazilians. However, Brazil equalised just before halftime, with Chelsea rising star Estevão converting from the penalty spot in the 44th minute.

‎Brazil nearly completed the comeback late in the game, but Lucas Paquetá failed to convert a penalty with just 12 minutes remaining, allowing Tunisia to hold firm for a morale-boosting result.

‎With the Africa Cup of Nations just around the corner, Tunisia’s solid defensive structure and consistent form present a significant challenge for Nigeria.

‎Their draw against Brazil serves as a timely reminder that the Super Eagles will face a disciplined, confident, and in-form opponent when the two sides meet in Morocco for the continental showdown.
