The Board of Ondo State Football Association has suspended the Chairperson of the Ondo State Football Coaches Association, Tayo Onilude and her executives with immediate effect.

Onilude was suspended based on the recommendations of the ethics committee set up by Ondo State FA to look into the activities of the association after receiving petitions from concerned members.

The suspension was pronounced at a board meeting held at the Police Officers Mess in Akure on Wednesday and unanimously decided to uphold the recommendations of the committee.

The committee had as Chairman, Former FA Chairman in the state, Chief Dele Ogungbemi, Mike Oluwabonmi as Vice Chairman, Pastor Henry Akingboju and Pastor Dotun Omoogun as members and Femi Atolagbe as Secretary.

Some of the recommendations include: operating without a statute, pronouncing suspensions unilaterally, and a lack of administrative diligence, among others.

The committee also recommended setting up a caretaker committee for the period of six months, after which an election would be conducted, with none of the caretaker committee members benefiting from the process.

The board also lifted all indefinite suspensions pronounced by the suspended chairperson on members.

The Board later announced Adebola Tominiyi as the Caretaker Chairman of the Ondo State Coaches Association, while Gabriel Olatunji being the Secretary and Ibrahim Tunbosun as a member.

The suspended Chairperson, Tayo Onilude is to hand over all the property of the association to the caretaker committee within 24 hours after the swearing in of the caretaker committee.

The caretaker committee would be sworn in on Thursday in Akure.
