‎Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen produced a scintillating performance on Wednesday night, scoring all three goals as Galatasaray thrashed Ajax 3–0 in their UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 encounter at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.

‎The 25-year-old striker, who has been in blistering form for the Turkish champions, once again proved his world-class quality with a decisive hat-trick that sealed Galatasaray’s third consecutive victory in the group stage.

‎With the win, Galatasaray climbed to nine points from four matches, sitting ninth overall in the 36-team table, while Ajax remain bottom with zero points after another disappointing outing.

‎After a cagey first half that ended goalless, the visitors came alive after the break. Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, rising high to head home Leroy Sané’s pinpoint cross from the right flank.

‎The Super Eagles forward doubled the lead just seven minutes later, converting from the penalty spot in the 66th minute after an Ajax defender was penalized for a handball inside the box.

‎Osimhen completed his memorable hat-trick in the 78th minute, once again dispatching a penalty after another handball infringement by the Dutch side.

‎His latest treble takes his tally to 12 goals in his last eight European matches for Galatasaray, underlining his position as one of the continent’s most lethal forwards.

‎It was also Galatasaray’s third win in four Champions League matches this season (three wins and one defeat), keeping their knockout stage hopes very much alive.

‎The Istanbul giants will next host Ajax in the return fixture, as Osimhen looks to continue his record-breaking run in Europe’s premier competition.
