‎The 8th edition of the Sheroes Cup has come to an exciting close, and once again, Remo Ladies FC reigned supreme, successfully defending their title after another commanding campaign in Abuja.

‎The Ogun State-based club showcased their trademark blend of consistency, resilience, and attacking flair throughout the week-long pre-season tournament, finishing top of the standings with 13 points from five matches.

‎Remo Ladies capped off their title defense with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Confluence Queens in their final fixture, sealing an unbeaten record of four wins and one draw. With an impressive +13 goal difference, the champions combined ruthless attacking precision with defensive solidity to underline their dominance.

‎Under the guidance of Coach Mathew Wemimo, the team’s back-to-back triumph reflects their steady rise in Nigerian women’s football, further solidifying their reputation as one of the emerging powerhouses in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) ecosystem.

‎Trailing just behind the champions were Ekiti Queens, who also delivered a strong performance throughout the competition.

‎The Ekiti State side concluded their campaign with a 1–0 win over hosts Naija Ratels, finishing second with 11 points and a +8 goal difference. Led by experienced midfielder Amarachi Okoronkwo, the Queens impressed with their tactical discipline, fluid teamwork, and attacking intent, earning praise as one of the most improved sides in the 2025 edition.

‎Naija Ratels, despite their energy and attacking verve, were left frustrated by their inability to convert chances at crucial moments. The hosts ended the tournament in third place with 7 points, while Confluence Queens of Kogi finished fourth, narrowly edging Dannaz Ladies on goal difference with 4 points.

‎Dannaz Ladies produced flashes of brilliance — particularly their emphatic 4–1 victory over FCT Ladies on the final day — but inconsistency and defensive lapses cost them valuable points. FCT Ladies, meanwhile, endured a difficult outing, finishing bottom of the table with just one win and a –14 goal difference.
