The management of Enyimba International Football Club has issued a two-match ultimatum to its Technical Adviser, Coach Stanley Eguma, following a disappointing run of results in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The decision was reached after an emergency management meeting on Monday, coming on the heels of Enyimba’s 2–1 defeat to Plateau United on Matchday 10 at the New Jos Stadium. That loss marked the club’s third straight defeat, following earlier setbacks against Warri Wolves in Aba and Kun Khalifat FC in Owerri.
This poor run of form has seen the nine-time NPFL champions slip to ninth place on the log, with a record of three wins, four draws, and three losses from ten matches.
In a statement released by the club, the management directed the technical crew to deliver positive results in the next two fixtures — against Kano Pillars in Aba this weekend and Abia Warriors in Umuahia the following week — as a condition to retain their positions.
“Enyimba FC is a club built on a proud winning tradition and an unyielding standard of excellence,” the statement read. “While the management appreciates the efforts of the technical crew, the recent performances do not align with the club’s ambition. An immediate turnaround is expected, starting with Sunday’s home match against Kano Pillars.”
The statement further assured fans and stakeholders that the club is taking all necessary measures to restore confidence and ensure a swift return to form as the season progresses.
