Following Wikki Tourists’ narrow 1-0 loss away to Katsina United on Matchday 5 of the NPFL 2025/26 season, Head Coach Abdul Maikaba shared his thoughts on the team’s performance.
In his post-match reaction, the gaffer highlighted both the positives and the urgent issues his side must address:
“We created chances enough to win the game but couldn’t convert. It’s something we have to address immediately before our next game.”
Coach Maikaba maintained a calm and optimistic outlook, assuring supporters that the technical crew is focused on sharpening the team’s finishing, composure, and execution in the final third.
He further expressed confidence that Wikki Tourists would bounce back stronger, stressing that the players’ efforts on the pitch showed promise, but greater efficiency is needed to turn performances into results.
The Tourists now shift focus to their upcoming home clash against Rangers International, a key fixture that presents an opportunity to regain momentum and restore confidence in front of their fans.
