Ademola Lookman Back In Atalanta Training After Summer Exit Saga

Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has returned to full training with his Atalanta teammates after holding talks with head coach Ivan Jurić.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 27-year-old winger rejoined the squad on Thursday as they regrouped in Italy following Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League defeat to holders Paris Saint-Germain.
Lookman had been sidelined in recent weeks after pushing for a move to Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, a decision that saw him frozen out of the first-team setup.
Despite being left out of Atalanta’s early-season plans, Lookman remained active on the international stage, featuring for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in two matches less than a fortnight ago.
The former Leicester City and RB Leipzig forward has yet to make an appearance for La Dea this season but could be handed his first opportunity when Atalanta face Torino in Serie A this weekend.
Atalanta have endured a difficult start to the campaign, managing just one win in the league so far, and Lookman’s return is expected to provide a much-needed boost to their attacking options.
