WAFU B U-17 CHAMPIONSHIP: Golden Eaglets Drawn Against Burkina Faso, Benin In Group B

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have been placed in Group B of the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship, where they will face Burkina Faso and Benin Republic.
The group stage draw was conducted on Thursday in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, the host city of the regional tournament.
In Group A, host nation Côte d’Ivoire will battle it out with Niger Republic, Togo, and Ghana for a place in the knockout rounds.
The championship is scheduled to run from September 20 to October 3, 2025, in Yamoussoukro.
Importantly, the tournament also doubles as the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, where successful teams will secure their ticket to the continental showpiece.
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will be aiming to make amends this time after failing to qualify for the last edition of the U-17 AFCON.
