Super Eagles Boosted By Lookman And Dessers’ Arrival In Uyo Camp

The Super Eagles’ preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda have received a significant boost with the arrival of Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers at the team’s camp in Uyo.
The two players have joined their teammates at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene, bringing the total number of players in camp to 17.
Despite the boost, six key players are still expected to join the camp. They include:
- Victor Osimhen: The Galatasaray striker, who scored a hat-trick against Antalyaspor recently, is yet to arrive in camp.
- Tolu Arokodare: The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder is expected to join the team soon.
- Christantus Uche: The Crystal Palace midfielder is still awaited in camp.
- Raphael Onyedika: The Club Brugge midfielder is yet to report to the team.
The Super Eagles began their preparations for the game on Tuesday, with head coach Eric Chelle overseeing the training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The team will have another training session later tonight at the main bowl of the stadium.
The Super Eagles will face Rwanda in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday, September 6, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The team will then travel to Bloemfontein to face South Africa in a pivotal match on September 9.
