Nottingham Forest have confirmed their squad list for the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League, with Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi a surprise omission.
Awoniyi, who has been a key figure for Forest in recent seasons, did not make the cut, while his compatriot Ola Aina has been named among the 23-man squad.
The list also features several regulars including Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White, Douglas Luiz, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Neco Williams.
Forest will compete in the league phase against Midtjylland, FC Porto, Malmo, Ferencváros, Braga, Utrecht, Sturm Graz, and Real Betis as they look to make an impact in Europe.
On the international scene, Aina has linked up with the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa. Awoniyi, however, was not called up for the fixtures.
