NYG:Ondo State Clinches First Gold In Female Gymnastics Team Event

Ondo State has claimed its first gold medal in the female gymnastics team event and a bronze medal in the individual vault horse at the ongoing 9th National Youth Games (NYG) in Asaba, Delta State.
The gold medal-winning team comprised of:
- Taye Yusuf
- Tioluwa Akinseye
- Victoria Frank
- Opeoluwa Falaye
- Grace Ademuwagun
- Yusuf Kehinde
Opeoluwa Falaye secured a bronze medal in the vault horse event, adding to the state’s total medal count.
Ondo State’s head coach, Kemi Ademuwagun, attributed the victories to hard work and divine grace. “This achievement is not by my own making but by the grace of God Almighty and the strong understanding between me and my athletes,” she said.
The General Manager of the Ondo State Sports Council, Mr. Sunday Fagite, commended the athletes and their coaches, encouraging other athletes to remain focused and work hard to secure podium finishes.
