Niger Tornadoes suffered a 1-0 defeat to Enyimba FC in their NPFL Matchday 2 fixture, with Joseph Abiodun’s goal proving to be the difference.
Despite the loss, Niger Tornadoes coach Majin Mohammed expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance.
”We had two early chances which we couldn’t score, they got their chance and converted it,” Mohammed said. “It was a good game… This is just beginning, we’ll go back and prepare for our next home game and try and pick the maximum points.”
Mohammed highlighted the positives from the game, despite the defeat.
The coach mentioned that playing a midweek game in Ilorin and traveling to Aba for the match took a toll on his team’s energy levels and tactics.
Mohammed acknowledged that the season is still fresh and that there is room for improvement.
Niger Tornadoes will face Bayelsa United in their next match.
