Super Eagles winger Moses Simon delivered a match-winning performance on Sunday, scoring one goal and providing an assist in Paris FC’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Metz in Ligue 1.
The Nigerian international, now in his third appearance for Paris, has already netted two goals this season, quickly becoming a key figure for his new club.
Metz struck first in the 22nd minute through Sadibou, but Paris fought back to level just before halftime. Kebbal converted a penalty in stoppage time of the first half to make it 1-1.
After the restart, Simon took center stage. In the 53rd minute, he set up Kebbal’s second goal with a clever assist, sending the home supporters into raptures. Metz responded almost immediately, however, as Traoré equalized in the 54th minute, making it 2-2.
But Simon wasn’t finished. In the 67th minute, the Nigerian winger produced a clinical finish to restore Paris’s lead, a goal that ultimately sealed all three points for the hosts.
The win lifts Paris to 15th place on the Ligue 1 table with three points, while Metz remain rooted to the bottom, still searching for their first point of the campaign.
