Bayelsa Queens FC continued their dominance in the WAFU Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers with a 4-1 victory over Sam-Nelly of Benin Republic in Yamoussoukro.
Janet Akekoromowei scored twice, while Shakirat Moshood and Alaba Olabiyi added to the scoreline in a ruthless display.
Janet Akekoromowei scored two goals, one in each half, and was named Player of the Match.
Shakirat Moshood scored in the 35th minute to give Bayelsa Queens a 2-0 lead.
Alaba Olabiyi scored in the 55th minute to make it 3-1.
Kalu Favour scored a consolation goal for Sam-Nelly in the 44th minute.
The Prosperity Girls have now won all three of their games, scoring 13 goals and conceding 3.
Their next match is a semifinal clash with USFA of Burkina Faso on September 2, 2025.
