Shooting Stars SC picked up their first point of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season after a 1-1 draw against Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
The game was a fiercely contested encounter, with both teams starting on the front foot.
Ismail Ayodele put Shooting Stars ahead in the 5th minute, but Insurance responded quickly, leveling the score in the 12th minute through Alex Oweilayefa.

The result marks the first point of the season for both NPFL traditional giants. Shooting Stars will host Ikorodu City in Ibadan, while Bendel Insurance will travel to Kano to face Barau FC.
