He won a bronze medal with the Home-Based Eagles at the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cape Town.
Uzoenyi expressed delight at his new career milestone, thanking God, the management of Rangers, and the coaching program for making it possible.
”Honestly, I’m most grateful to God. I’m also grateful to the management of Rangers, and I’m happy starting a new journey in coaching after my playing career,” he said.
Uzoenyi described the coaching program as challenging but rewarding. “It was a programme we started online last year, but the final three weeks had to be practical.
We travelled to the United States to complete it. It wasn’t easy, but I thank God who was made it possible.”
