Coach Salisu Yusuf has parted ways with Nasarawa United to join a club in the Benin Republic.
The 63-year-old former Super Eagles assistant coach took charge of the Solid Miners in the second half of last season and helped the team avoid relegation.
He also led them to the last four of the President Federation Cup.
Salisu Yusuf is set to seal a lucrative deal with the Beninoise club after being courted by several teams.
Notably, he received interest from his former club, Kano Pillars, before opting for the opportunity in Benin.
This move marks a new chapter in Yusuf’s coaching career, as he ventures into managing a club outside of Nigeria for the first time.
Yusuf’s departure may have significant implications for Nasarawa United as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The team will need to find a new coach to lead them in the NPFL and other competitions.
