WAFCON:President Tinubu Rewards Super Falcons with OON Honour, Apartments, And Cash

The Super Falcons, Nigeria’s women’s national football team, has been showered with praise and rewards by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their outstanding performance at the recently concluded Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
During a presidential reception held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, President Tinubu conferred a national honor, Officer of the Order of Niger (OON), on each of the players.
In addition to the national honor, President Tinubu announced a range of rewards for the players and technical crew.
Each of the 24 players will receive a 3-bedroom apartment at the Renewed Hope estate, as well as a cash gift of $100,000.
The 11-man technical crew will receive $50,000 each.
The National Governors’ Forum (NGF) also contributed to the rewards, with Governor Hope Uzodinma announcing a gift of N10 million each to the players on behalf of the forum.
