Esther Okoronkwo was named Woman of the Match following Nigeria’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Morocco in the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Okoronkwo had a standout performance, registering one goal and two assists in the game.
Okoronkwo scored the Super Falcons’ first goal from the penalty spot in the 64th minute and set up Folashade Ijamilusi for the equalizing goal seven minutes later.
Okoronkwo’s teasing cross was slotted home by substitute Jennifer Echegini for Nigeria’s winning goal late in the game.
