Nurudeen Aweroro is poised to become the new head coach of Shooting Stars SC, a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club. Aweroro is leaving Ikorodu City to take up the role, following the dismissal of Gbenga Ogunbote by the new Shooting Stars management.
The young tactician had a successful stint with Ikorodu City, guiding them to fourth position in their maiden NPFL season.
He took charge of the team midway through the season and impressed with his leadership skills.
Aweroro’s assistants have already resumed work at Shooting Stars, preparing the team for the upcoming season.
Aweroro will be unveiled as the new head coach at the club’s secretariat in Jericho, Ibadan, on Friday.
