‎The Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco after a thrilling 2-1 win over South Africa’s Banyana Banyana.

‎Captain Rasheedat Ajibade opened the scoring with a penalty in the 45th minute, but Linda Mothalo equalized for South Africa from the spot shortly after the break.

‎The Super Falcons dominated the second half, with South Africa pushing hard for a winner but unable to find the breakthrough.

‎ As the match seemed destined for extra time, defender Michele Alozie struck a late winner, sending the Super Falcons into the final.

‎The victory means the Super Falcons will face the winners of the Morocco vs Ghana match in the final.

‎Notably, Mothalo’s goal is the only one Nigeria has conceded so far in the tournament, a testament to the team’s defensive solidity.

‎ The Super Falcons’ mission to lift the trophy remains intact, and they will be looking to make their fans proud in the final.
