‎Club Brugge emerged victorious in the Belgian Super Cup, defeating Union Saint-Gilloise 2-1 on Sunday night. Raphael Onyedika played a crucial role in the match, featuring for the entire duration.

‎This win marks the 18th time Club Brugge has lifted the Super Cup, the most by any club in Belgium.

‎The victory was a sweet revenge for Club Brugge, who had lost to Union Saint-Gilloise by the same scoreline in the Super Cup last season.

‎ Franjo Ivanović gave Union Saint-Gilloise an early lead, but Club Brugge rallied to win the game through a Christos Tzolis penalty and a superb strike by Hans Vanaken.

‎Despite this impressive win, Onyedika’s future at Club Brugge remains uncertain.

‎The Nigerian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club, with Turkish Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe already in talks with the Belgian Pro League outfit.
