The Nigerian Eagles have emerged champions of the B16 category at the Gothia Cup, defeating Maryland Bobcats FC from the USA with a convincing 3-0 win.
The team’s dominant performance was led by standout player Shamsu Mustapha, who scored two goals in the first half.
Mustapha’s first goal came in the 9th minute, giving Nigerian Eagles a dream start. The team continued to dominate play, and before halftime, Mustapha doubled the lead with his second goal.
The Nigerian Eagles maintained control in the second half, with Mubarak Adisa sealing the victory with a 3-0 goal in the 40th minute.
