Paris St-Germain (PSG) has demolished Real Madrid 4-0 to set up a FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.
The Champions League winners tore the Spanish side apart in the semi-final tie at the MetLife Stadium, with the match effectively over within 24 minutes.
Fabian Ruiz tapped in the sixth-minute opener following a big mistake from Real defender Raul Asencio.
French winger Ousmane Dembele then scored the second goal, racing away to finish calmly after a mis-kick from Antonio Rudiger.
Ruiz added the third goal with a fantastic finish after a give-and-go between Achraf Hakimi and Dembele. Goncalo Ramos capped off the win with a late fourth goal for PSG.
PSG’s dominant display was evident throughout the match, with their pace, passing, and pressing proving too much for Real Madrid to handle.
The French side has become an infinitely better team since Kylian Mbappe’s departure, and they are looking to make the Club World Cup their fourth trophy of 2025.
The win sets up a final clash between PSG and Chelsea on Sunday. PSG’s form has been impressive, with the team beating Inter Milan 5-0 to win the Champions League and dispatching other top teams in the tournament.
