Barau Football Club of Kano State has arrived in Asaba, Delta State, ahead of the Nigerian National League (NNL) Super Eight 2025 playoffs.
The Maliya Boys are determined to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2025/26 season.
The club’s Media Officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, confirmed that Barau FC traveled with a 32-player squad and over 15 officials, including the coaching staff.
The team is fully committed to working hard and giving their best performance in the competition to achieve their goal of NPFL promotion.
The NNL Super Eight tournament will take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, from July 5 to 12, 2025. Eight teams have qualified for the tournament, including:
– Warri Wolves
– Osun United
– Crown FC
– Kun Khalifa FC of Owerri
– Wikki Tourists of Bauchi
– Yobe Desert Stars
– Doma United of Gombe
– Barau FC of Kano State
The Super Eight tournament will determine the four teams that will gain promotion to the NPFL for the 2025/26 season.
It will also decide the overall winner
of the 2024/25 NNL season.
