NNL Super Eight; 16 Referees Listed For Championship in Asaba

About sixteen referees of the Nigeria Football Referees’ Association, NFRA, have been penciled down to officiate the 2025 Nigeria National League, NNL Super Eight.
At the end of the regular season in the Southern and Northern Conferences of the League, four teams each from the two divides are to campaign for honours for promotion to the elite Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.
The team who qualified are; Doma United of Gombe, Wikki Tourist of Bauchi, Barau FC of Kano and Yobe Desert Stars of Yobe from the Northern zone while Southern Zone has Warri Wolves FC of Warri, Delta State, Crown FC of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Kun Khalifat FC of Imo State and Osun United of Oshogbo, Osun State.
In the list the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Referees Development Committee appointed and available to Nigeria Whistlers has four Premier League referees to serve at the centre; Solomon Aweng of Plateau State, his counterparts from Kaduna and Katsina councils; Bashir Adamu and Abubakar Zubairu respectively.
Anthony Eze of the FCT Council and Faro Abdulrahman of Lagos make up the list of centre referees from the NPFL cadre.
Others on the list coming from the NNL cadre who are to serve as Referees and also Assistants are Stanley Chibuiko (Enugu), Henry Osuomon (Edo) and Kalu Ezichi (Abia).
Three Premier League Assistant Referees were also deployed to the Asaba event. They are Mohammed Ibrahim and Aminu Mammaga both of Zamfara including Zachariah Nde and Dahiru Muazu of Akwa Ibom and Adamawa respectively. Others who of the NNL assigned to be on the lines are; Shittu Toheeb (Ogun), Igwe Emmanuel (Rivers ) Eze Chinonso (Anambra) and Ciroma Bukar (Borno).
Nigeria Whistlers learnt that the referees shall be under a retired FIFA referee, Dr Alex Sule Mana, who was a renowned referee during active days and Assessor. He was among those who recently underwent the FIFA MA Technical Instructor course in Abuja. Dr Mana from Kaduna council is the Technical Instructor. Another Instructor, Bola Sekitiri is also a retired FIFA referee from Ondo State expected to oversee the Physical Fitness aspect of the appointed referees during the matches.
Two members of the NFF Referees Development Committee; Faith Irabor (FIFA Rtd), the Chairman and Alhaji Rabiu Umar Gusau, a member of the committee shall also be present to oversee the affairs of the referees.
