Ijele Sports Club’s Chief Executive Officer, Ferdinand A. Naza, has issued a heartfelt end-of-season message to the club’s community, vowing a strong comeback after the team’s relegation to the Nationwide League One (NLO 1).

Despite the challenges faced during the 2024/2025 season, Naza praised the team’s unwavering spirit and highlighted the club’s memorable 2-0 win over 2024 champions Beyond Limit FC as a testament to the squad’s potential.

In his statement, Naza described the season as one of “learning, growth, and gratitude.”

He saluted the coaches and technical staff for their dedication, applauded the players for their passion and resilience, and thanked the fans for their relentless support. Naza reaffirmed Ijele’s commitment to returning stronger in the coming season, stating,

“We are returning to the NLO 1 not with bowed heads, but with renewed focus and an iron resolve to correct our shortcomings.”

The 2025/2026 season will mark a new chapter for the Enugu-based club as they aim for immediate promotion back to the Nigerian National League (NNL). Naza’s message positions Ijele Sports Club as a team poised to regroup, rebuild, and reignite their quest for professional success.

Naza closed his letter with an inspiring rallying cry: “Together, we move forward. Together, we remain Ijele, the pride of East, the heartbeat of the people.” With this message, Ijele Sports Club is set to embark on a new journey, determined to rise again and make a strong come back to the NNL.
