Rivers United has confirmed the appointment of Yemi Olanrewaju as their new Chief Coach, replacing Evans Ogenyi whose contract recently expired.
Olanrewaju, a young and experienced tactician, is expected to start work immediately.
The former Golden Eaglets assistant coach was sacked by Enyimba midway through last season.
However, he is now reuniting with Finidi George, with whom he previously worked at Enyimba.
Rivers United started their pre-season training last week Monday, ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Finidi’s side finished second in the league last season and will be looking to improve on their performance this year.
With Olanrewaju at the helm, Rivers United fans expect great things from the team.
The club will be hoping to build on their previous success and make a strong challenge for the NPFL title.
