Chelsea has begun its FIFA Club World Cup journey on a high note, securing a 2-0 victory over Los Angeles FC in Group D.

The Blues, the first Premier League side to feature in this year’s tournament, dominated the match from the onset

Chelsea took the lead in the 34th minute when Pedro Neto latched onto a long ball, showcasing his skill with two sublime touches before firing the ball into the bottom corner of Hugo Lloris’ net.

The MLS side threatened to equalize after the break but lacked sharpness in the final third.
