Omewa Crowned Danish Women’s League Player of the Season

Nigerian striker Joy Omewa has been named the Best Player in the Danish Women’s League.

Omewa’s impressive performances for Fortuna Hjørring earned her the prestigious award, which came with a brand-new Mercedes-Benz.

Omewa scored 22 goals and provided 4 assists in 23 games, leading Fortuna Hjørring to the Danish Women’s League title.

Fortuna Hjørring also won the Danish Cup, with Omewa playing a key role.

Omewa’s outstanding performances were recognized with the Best Player award.

She joined Fortuna Hjørring from Confluence Queens in 2022.

The 23-year-old has represented Nigeria at U-17 and U-20 levels.
