AFN Elects New Board, Okowa Returns As President

Tonobok Okowa has been re-elected as President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) for another four-year term.
Okowa’s re-election was confirmed at the AFN Elective Congress in Abuja.
The newly elected board members include:
– Okowa (President)
– Ladan Abubakar Zurmi (1st Vice President)
– Akuchukwu Aghazu Chineze (2nd Vice President)
– Gabriel Okon
– Samuel Onikeku
– Fatima Yusuf-Olukoju
– Victor Okorie
Okowa has outlined a four-point agenda for his second term, focusing on grassroots talent development and athlete education.
Okowa has appointed:
– Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze as Chief Operating Officer
– Dr. Samuel Kolawole Oredipe as Auditor
– Barrister Bamidele Edokpaye as Legal Adviser
– Mr. Babajide Odedeji as Safeguarding Officer
