Bendel Insurance on Wednesday,May 7,2025 returned to winning ways as they defeated Akwa United 1-0 in the match day 36 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Skipper Meyinwa Oritseweyinmi scored the only goal of the match in the 53 minutes to give the Benin Arsenals a deserved 1-0 victory over the relegation threatened side at the famous Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
Insurance FC have had difficulty in getting maximum points in their last two home games against Rangers Int’l and Nasarawa United
The Benin Arsenals now have 53 points to remain 6th on the league table and will be at home again in the match day 37 fixture against Heartland FC of Owerri. The match is scheduled for Sunday,May 11,2025.
Recall that Bendel Insurance pulled a 1-1 draw with Akwa Utd in their first round encounter in Uyo.
