It was another horrible Matchday 2 experience for Buberio FC as they woefully succumbed to a 5-1 hammering in the hands of a ruthless Ahudiya Nnem FC, thanks to brace of goals apiece from Emeka Boniface, Ndubuisi Ekwunibe amid a beautiful strike from Ogochukwu James with Benjamin Chikezie’s goal proving to be a mere consolation for the Umuahia based outfit.

The Onslaught started as early as on the 9th minute when impressive winger Emeka Boniface beautifully curled home a delightsome freekick into the top left corner for the game’s opener.

The surge continued for the Abiriba based side as they stanced their dominance with a second goal off the boots of left footed Ndubuisi Ekwunibe who fired home from close range having been left unmarked as the Buberio backline were caught unawares to double Ahudiya Nnem’s advantage.

The wounded Buberio FC pressed on to halve the deficit in a bid not to concede more goals after their scandalous matchday one experience benefited from goalkeeper Uche Nwobodo’s poor clearance in the 27th minute as striker Benjamin Chikezie pounced on the gifted ball to slot home inside an empty net, a measure of hope for the brave warriors.

It was just a matter of time knowing fully the goals would surely rain as winger Ndubuisi Ekwunibe registered his second of the day with a cool finish to restore Ahudiya Nnem’s 2-goal cushion heading into the break with a 3-1 lead.

Upon resumption of the second half, the rampaging Ahudiya Nnem FC compounded the woes of a hapless Buberio FC when charismatic midfielder Ogochukwu James curled home a dangerous ball having utilised the space perfectly-a goal that ceased the encounter from being a contest as Ahudiya Nnem had a comprehensive lead.

Having enjoyed the lion’s share of possession with a comfortable lead, Emeka Boniface iced the cherry for the Abiriba based outfit with a strange goal from a difficult position as the final scoreline ended 5-1.

The woes of Buberio FC lingered on matchday 2 but there’s still the feeling of turning the tides on matchday 3 as they prepare to contend with debutants Bright Stars FA with Kick-off billed for 8am on Sunday. As for Ahudiya Nnem FC, a pick of the bunch matchday 3 cracker awaits on Sunday when they lock horns with Enyimba feeders in the second match of the day.
