NNL:Anthony Encho Targets Home Win Against FirstBank FC

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club will take on their counterparts from Lagos State, FirstBank FC, in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday 13 clash, scheduled for Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbow, Major General George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
The Saraki Boys, coming off an impressive goalless draw with Gateway United last weekend in Ijebu Ode under the tutelage of returning Coach Anthony Encho, will look to consolidate on that performance when they welcome FirstBank FC.
FirstBank themselves will come with huge momentum after their 2-1 victory over Godswil Akpabio FC in Lagos, as they aim to move up the table. Both teams are tied on the same number of points (13), but a better goal ratio puts the Saraki Boys ahead in sixth position in the Southern Conference B, while FirstBank FC is placed seventh on the log.
FirstBank FC got the better of ABS FC in the reverse fixture in Lagos after a commanding 2-0 victory. However, Coach Anthony Encho, speaking to the club’s media, expressed optimism that his boys would get their own pound of flesh when their visitors come calling on Saturday.
“We are focused towards achieving one goal, which is winning our game, and I am confident that we will get the job done come Saturday. It wouldn’t be an easy one, but we will give our best to get the job done,” he said.
