NNL:Mamuda Bags Brace As FC Basira Beat Kada Warriors 3-1 In Lafia

Following the team’s return from Kaduna State after losing 2-0 to Bayelsa United at the round of Thirty-two of 2025 President Federation Cup, Basira FC of Lafia continue its fairytale in the second tier of Nigeria football as a brace from lanky striker Mamuda Mohammed in 28th and 56th minutes plus a Sunday Aluku’s 75th minutes finish was all needed for the Baffa boys to sealed a victory over Kada Warriors FC.
The most anticipated match began on a high note with both sides pushing to take total control and not long Kada Warriors resilience paid off in 16th minutes when Haruna Abubakar benefited from a beautiful crossing by Daniels as he wasted no time to tap into the net to give visitors the lead, leaving Silas Panshak helpless.
Despite going down in the early phase, FC Basira didn’t sit down however the players threw all they had into the game as both Ibrahim Adamu, Chigozie Ani and Usman Usman effort failed to bring any change in the result.
The baffa boys had their equalizer in 28th minutes when the Mamuda Mohammed rose to head home to draw the game when Kim Pwajok provide him with a beautiful assit, leaving the match one goal apiece in the break.
Mamuda Mohammed netted his second goal when he rose again to head the ball into the visitors net to give home side a 2-1 lead in 56th minutes.
As the game progressed, prolific winger Sunday Aluku delivered a clinical finish from a close range thereby extending the lead to 3-1 for the home side.
With this victory, the Aminu Musa tutoured side demonstrated their strength both in attack and resilience, securing yet another important win to top the NNL Conference D with Thirteen points from Eight rounds game, thereby keeping their dream for a final playoff spot alive.
FC Basira will now have a trip to Numan, to face Adamawa United on Saturday April 12, 2025 at Makwada Stadium Numan, Adamawa State.
