The University of Ghana Stadium will now host the entire CAF African Schools Football Championship, scheduled for April 21-26, 2025.

Initially, the preliminary rounds were set to take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with the University of Ghana Stadium hosting the finals. However, CAF has decided to centralize the tournament at one venue, moving all matches to the University of Ghana.

The change ensures a single location for the championship, allowing for better coordination and logistics for participating teams, officials, and organizers.

The tournament will feature national school teams from 46 countries, including winners from CAF’s six zones and host nation Ghana. The total prize pool remains at $650,000, with the winning school receiving $300,000, the runner-up earning $200,000, and the third-place finisher taking home $150,000.

This marks the first time a West African country is hosting the competition, following previous editions in South Africa (2023) and Tanzania (2024).
