The head coach of Benin Republic Gernot Rohr believes Zimbabwe will put a good against Nigeria in Uyo on Tuesday
The ex-Super Eagles gaffer expects Zimbabwe to pick at least a point on Tuesday
“We were leading Zimbabwe 2-0 in the first half, but they fought back to earn a 2-2 draw.
Although they don’t have a chance of qualifying, they are f!ghting very well, and I know that with this coach and his staff, they will do the same in Uyo against Nigeria,”
Rohr told reporters during the post-match conference following the 2-2 draw with Zimbabwe.
“Benin doesn’t have the home advantage like others, but we have never lost a game in Abidjan.
We didn’t have fans during our match against Nigeria in Abidjan.
Behind each goal, people were shouting ‘Osimhen, Osimhen, Osimhen, it felt like we were playing an away game. We were not really at home.
But my team is able to manage the situation, and I hope that next Tuesday against South Africa will be the same,” Rohr added.
