Defending champions Edo Queens Football Club of Benin today at the IIorin Township Stadium Kwara State humbled the hard fighting Ekiti Queens 1-0 in match day 8 of the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership.
The Ancient City based ladies went into the season’s restart with a renewed hope and confidence against the homers Ekiti Queens FC in pursuit of the NWFL Super 6 title.
Prior to today’s showdown, Edo Queens convincingly overpowered the Ado-Ekiti girls in match day 07 played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin few weeks ago with three unanswered goals. Todays match has proven Edo Queens superiority over Ekiti Queens.
