Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Gbenga Ogunbote, believes his players deserve commendation after Friday’s painful 0-1 loss to Katsina United.
The Oluyole Warriors fought bravely till the last minute of the added time before caving in to the host in the matchday 28 encounter played at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
In his post match interview, the 3SC sweat merchant, who described the defeat as unfortunate, attributed it to fatigue, which he said did not allow his players to express theemselves.
“It is unfortunate that we lost towards the last minute of added time, when we conceded the goal.
“I think the boys have done very well. They put in their very best, considering what we faced when we were coming here.
“We came here yesterday evening, so you can see the boys could not really express themselves due to fatigue”.
The oracle, as the tactician is fondly called, said the team had already put the defeat behind, looking forward to the next match, which is another away fixture against Akwa United.
“This game has come and gone, we are thinking of the next game, that’s it”, added coach Ogunbote.
