Ajayi, Ologbese Headline Ondo State Football Association Elections

The incumbent chairman of Ondo state football association Otunba Dele Ajayi will battle Otunba Dele Ologbese, Ambassador Henry Abiodun and Barrister Remi Adetula in today’s Ondo FA elections.
Ajayi who is a board member of Nigeria football federation defeated Akin Akinbobola at the last election after Ologbese withdrew.
Ondo FA at its February 18th congress agreed on three delegates for the elections viz: incumbent chairman, coaches association and Referee society.
However,the electoral committee on Wednesday outrightly removed ondo state coaches association from voting on the premise of failing to affiliate with Ondo FA.
Dele Ologbese was once the secretary of Ondo state football agency is the current chairman of Akoko south-west football council chairman.
Henry Abiodun is the founder of H&B Global Sports
While Barrister Remi Adetula is the incumbent chairman of Owo local football council chairman and also vice-chairman of Ondo FA.
Dele Ologbese and Barrister Remi Adetula are from Ondo north district while Dele Ajayi and Abiodun hail Ondo central senatorial district.
The four aspirants will be eyeing votes from Ondo South senatorial district of Okitipupa,Irele, Odigbo,Ilaje, Ese-odo and Ile-Oluji Okeigbo.
Yomi Ogunlade,Demeji Abimbola and Henry Akingboju are contesting for vice-chairmanship position.
The four aspirants that will be vying for the Ondo central board members are Olagunju Isaac,Akinyelure Tokunko Adetoyinbo Ibukun,Akinbinu Babatunde
Babatunde Igbasan,Akindipe Akinsola and Orola Segun are contesting for Ondo south senatorial district board members.
Temitayo Oladipupo, Mohammad Abiodun,Daodu Alexander and Aborowa Gabriel are contesting for Ondo North senatorial district board members.
The local football council elections that was postponed last week will be held between 10am-12noon tomorrow.
While the State FA elections will commence by 2pm.
The elections will be held at Police Officers Mess,Akure.
The delegates will decide whether Dele Ajayi be reelected or unseated.
Sportsgister calls on the delegates not to sell their votes as the fate of football in the state lies on whom they elect tomorrow.
