Super Falcons forward Gift Monday has been named the February Player of the Month in the Spanish Liga F.
The 23-year-old earned the award for her exceptional performances with Tenerife throughout the month.
Monday’s impact was evident in her goal-scoring contributions. She netted two goals in three league matches, finding the back of the net once in each of Tenerife’s games against Sevilla and Valencia.
This impressive form adds to her already impressive season tally, with Monday now boasting 10 goals in 18 league appearances for Tenerife.
Monday’s achievement was even more notable considering the strong competition she faced for the award.
Other nominees included Alba Redondo from Real Madrid, Caroline Hansen and Ainhoa Marin from Barcelona and Deportivo La Coruna respectively, as well as Ane Azkona from Athletic Club, Ari Mingueza from Granada, and Elba Verges from Eibar.
