The highly anticipated Africa4Peace Allstars 5-A-Side tournament, the first veteran Allstars 5-A-Side event in Delta State, kicks off on Saturday, February 8th, 2025. The opening match promises to be thrilling, with Daudu United facing off against Ex Players International at 4:00 pm at the Africa Games Village in Osubi-Ugolo, near Warri.
According to Marvel Dick, a member of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), each match will consist of two 15-minute halves, with a 5-minute rest period in between.
The opening day’s fixtures are as follows:-
– 4:00 pm: Daudu United vs. Ex Players International
– 4:40 pm: Men2Boys vs. Chevron Football Club Warri (CFCW)
– 5:15 pm: Delta Allstars International vs. Corner Lux
– 5:45 pm: Daudu United vs. Men2Boys Fitness Club
– 6:20 pm: Ex Players vs. Chevron
– 7:00 pm: Corner Lux vs. Housing Complex
Ambassador Sheriff Mulade, Chairman of the Delta State Mini Football Association (MFA), announced that all participating teams will receive branded jerseys powered by the MFA during the opening ceremony.
LOC Chairman Ogo Clarkson revealed that the tournament features two groups of eight teams each, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals, scheduled to commence on Wednesday, February 12th, at 4:00 pm.
