NWFL: Nasarawa Amazons Beat Ekiti Queens 2-0 In Lafia

Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia continues its fairytale in the matchday 4 of the Nigeria Women Football League as strikes from the duo of Ojiyovwi kesiena and Akekeromowei Janet secure the vital home win on match day 4 against visiting Ekiti Queens Football Club of Ado Ekiti at the Lafia City stadium.

 

The match began on a high note with both sides pushing to take total control and it went on till the first half ended goalless.

 

Resumption of the second half saw Nasarawa Amazons scoring in the 62nd minutes from Ojiyovwi kesiena and with hard Fighting, tactical, powerful striker Janet Akekeromowei who has been on goal drought added the second in the 64th minute to make it two goal for the Lafia Landladies.

 

The remaining minutes saw Nasarawa Amazons exhibit a high level of defensive display to curtail the attacking surge of their opponents as the game went down to the wire.

 

With this victory, the Coach Christopher Danjuma tortured side demonstrated their strength and resilience both in attack in securing yet another important win to top the NWFL premiership 25, with 9 points thereby keeping their dream looking up to a spot in the super six spot alive.

Nasarawa Amazons will now have a trip to Benin, Edo State for the next in the NWFL premiership 25 against Edo Queens at the Samuel ogbemudia stadium, in Benin Edo State.
