Lucky Mary continued on her impressive start of the season, with a brilliant second half hat trick, As Abia Angels thrashed Lokoja based club, Confluence Queens 3-0, in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Matchday 4 encounter.
The clash which took place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, On Wednesday, saw both teams creating numerous scoring opportunities in the first half, but nothing could separate both sides as the first half ended in a goalless draw.
In the second half, it became a different ballgame as the Abia ladies, made a quickly breakthrough in the game, when Lucky, struck home a delightful volley to put Abia Queens 1-0 ahead, in the 57th minute. Before the doubled the lead 2-0, in the 60th minute, with a close range effort, by beaten off Confluence Queens goalkeeper.
The game was officially over, as the impressive and strong forward, completed her hat trick, when she slotted home a brilliant close finish, in the 65th minute, to become the first player this season, to scored a second half hat trick. As Abia Angels went on to secure its second victory of the season with a stunning 3-0 win over Confluence Queens in Umuahia.
