NPFL:Megwo Heaps Praises On Abia Warriors After Defeating Akwa United

Abia Warriors forward, Sunday Megwo, has expressed praised with his team’s solid performance in their 2-0 victory against Akwa United, in a Matchday 23 encounter, on Sunday in Umuahia.
The forward, who featured in the game for the Imama Amapakabo’s led side, as they bounced back to winning ways with a commanding win in front of their home supporters.
The Super Eagles B forward, while speaking shortly after the game, revealed that it was an improved performance from how they played in the 3-2 loss to Remo Stars last Wednesday in Ikenne.
” Yes, it was a good solid team performance, and we deserved the maximum points because of how we played, ” Megwo said.
” He knew that we had to be up to speed against a side, like Akwa United, who are currently in the drop zone, but they made it difficult for us earlier on in the game, but I’m glad that we were able to find a way to win the game. Because in this second round of the season, the maximum points is all that matters.”
” However, it was a good team effort, which also highlighting the collective spirit and determination that led to the victory,” he concluded.
Megwo, currently having a brilliant breakout season, with seven league goals and three assists in 16 appearances this campaign for Abia Warriors
