Al Kholood Sign Nigerian Teen Sensation Ambrose Ochigbo on Loan

Saudi Pro League side Al Kholood have completed the signing of Nigerian teenager Ambrose Ochigbo on a season-long loan from Tunisian club ES Zarzis. The deal includes a €96,000 loan fee and an option to make the move permanent. Ochigbo, 19, is contracted to Zarzis until June 2026.
The talented midfielder has already joined his new teammates and trained alongside Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong, who welcomed him warmly. Troost-Ekong, recently named the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Most Valuable Player, shared a photo with Ochigbo on social media, writing, “Welcome Ambrose Ochigbo to @AlkholoodClub. Exciting young Nigerian talent, the hard work starts now my boy.”
Ochigbo has shown great promise in his career so far. After excelling in the ES Zarzis academy, he earned a spot in the senior team for the 2024/25 season, featuring in 15 league games. He scored one goal, provided one assist, and helped Zarzis finish fourth in the Tunisian Ligue I Pro standings.

The young midfielder is expected to make his Al Kholood debut this weekend when the club faces Al-Ittihad in a crucial Saudi Pro League matchday 18 fixture.
