Nigerian Defender Bruno Onyemaechi Signs For Olympiacos

Greek football powerhouses Olympiacos FC have secured the transfer of Nigerian international left-back Bruno Onyemaechi from Portuguese outfit Boavista.
Since joining the Portuguese side Boavista in 2023 the 25-year-old defender has been a key player. Onyemaechi scored three goals and added one assist during 18 appearances this season.
Onyemaechi made 77 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists in his three seasons at Boavista. His consistent underperformance in the Portuguese Primeira Liga turned the heads of Olympiacos who wanted to strengthen their options ahead of an important part of the season.
The Nigerian native comes with international experience, having made 11 appearances for the Nigeria national team, and joins the Greek Super League. He will be looking to settle in quickly and you’ll be sure to see plenty of both from Olympiacos fans as they wonder how he’ll add to their already blooming domestic and European campaign.
Olympiacos bring in big name further strengthening their ranks through this signing. With Onyemaechi already having enjoyed success at both club and international levels, the Super Eagles star is set to make a major impact at the Karaiskakis Stadium.
