Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin Football Club will take on Calabar Rovers in the Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday seven clash at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin on Saturday, January 25th, 2025.
The Saraki Boys will look to bounce back to winning ways after their disappointing defeat to Osun United last weekend in Ileogbo, Osun State.
Calabar Rovers, meanwhile, will aim to build on their 1-0 victory over Mandiba FC last weekend. However, they are yet to record a win on the road this season, with their only away point coming against Solution F.C in their opening fixture.
Coach Sani Sarduana’s team will be wary of the challenge posed by Calabar Rovers, who are tutored by Coach Celeb Esu. Speaking to the ABS media team after his final training session on Friday, Coach Sarduana said:
“Every home game comes with a spirit, and that spirit is about earning maximum points. We must work extremely hard to achieve this, and we’ve prepared well for tomorrow’s game. We want to win and make up for last weekend’s loss, and by God’s grace, we will get our three points.”
ABS Ilorin FC currently sits seventh with six points on the NNL Conference B standings, having played fewer games. Calabar Rovers are fourth with eight points after six games. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
The match kicks off at 3:00 pm inside the main bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
