NWFL:Heartland Queens Unveil 18 New Players

Heartland Queens have officially unveiled the eighteen new players she acquired for the ongoing 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership season.
The modest ceremony on Monday, January 20 witnessed by an appreciable number of fans, media persons, dignitaries and club’s officials took place at the mainbowl of Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
The eighteen players from various cadres of the leagues are made up of two goalkeepers, five defenders, six midfielders and five attackers.
Seven of the new acquisitions namely goalkeeper, Esther Igwe, defenders, Chisom Henry and Prisca Nwachukwu, midfielders Chizoba Johnson and Monica Matthew and attackers Happiness Agboye and Oluwatosin Ogundeko have already made their debut appearance in the side’s season opener at two-season campaigners, Ekiti Queens in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state on Wednesday, January 15.
All the debutants gave good account of themselves in the hotly contested encounter and once again proved to their new employers, Imo state government that they are worthy of every dime invested in their acquisition.
Other new ones are sure to make their debut in the mid week NWFL Premiership matchday 2 clash against the champions, Edo Queens at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

3. Owoseni Bukola – Attacker – Nasarawa Amazons
4. Nwachukwu Prisca – Defender – Imo Striker Queens
5. Popoola Mary – Midfielder – Sunshine Queens
6. Matthew Monica – Midfielder – Imo Striker Queens
7. Ekeke Faith – Defender – Fortress Ladies
8. Agboye Happiness – Attacker – Delta Babes
9. Umejiaku Oluebeube – Attacker – Heroes Queens
10. Ogundeko Tosin – Attacker – Abia Angels
11. Joseph Joy – Defender – Garden of Praise World Football Academy
12. Igwe Esther – Goalkeeper – High Save Sport Limited
13. Ola Olaronke – Midfielder – Royaltoms International FC
14. Chukwu Chioma – Midfielder – Kwara Ladies
15. Ezeani Eunice – Attacker – Sunshine Queens
16. Johnson Chizoba – Midfielder – Iwundu Football Academy
