Akwa Ibom State Football Association Unveils Teams For 2025 FA Cup Competition

The Akwa Ibom State Football Association, has officially unveiled the list of teams registered to compete in the 2025 FA Cup competition, Sportsgister reports.
In a statement released on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Secretary of the Akwa Ibom State Football Association, Comrade Kufre Etukudo, announced that eight teams will participate in the male category, while two teams have registered for the female category.
Reigning champions Akwa United FC headline the male category, alongside Nigeria National League sides Dakkada FC and Godswill Akpabio United FC. The lineup is completed by five top football academies in the state, showcasing the depth of grassroots football talent in Akwa Ibom.

As part of the competition schedule, the draw ceremony for the 2025 FA Cup will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, by 10am at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
